The rule of thumb is that that if your one meal per day is dinner your weight will either remain the same or go up as dinner calories can be fattening as you don't burn them up with most of the day behind you. With most of the day ahead of you breakfast calories are burned up so your weight either remains the same or goes down. Well eating 1 meal a day will most likely make you lose a bit of weight, but also gain you more weight than you lost.
If I were you, you should stick with 3 portions of food a day; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Avoid having too many snacks though. They can get a little too much. But if you want to lose weight, exercise a lot and eat more healthy. Well the thing is starving yourself won't do any good. Try eating three times a day with vegetables as snacks in between because some vegetables aid weight loss like carrots, apples etc.
Also drinking green tea helps but don't take in excess if not you can have insomnia and do workouts or be very active during the day to increase your metabolic rate and sleep properly. No matter how you are people will still love you for who you are so don't go killing yourself just try to keep fit. Again you have to consider your height do the weight height test to check if your overweight or not before you go hyper so you know how much is appropriate for your height but then again love yourself the way you are and don't loose self esteem.
